EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY

Due to the heightened concerns regarding the spread of COVID-19,

the Wilmington Housing Authority (WHA) has implemented the following:

No face-to-face appointments or meetings.

Participants/Landlords can drop off any paperwork/documents at the reception desk.

Inspections

Emergency, initial and abate/cure inspections will continue to be conducted.

We are suspending annuals and re-inspections until further notice.

HAP Payments

HUD has assured housing authorities that funding for housing assistance will be sent as scheduled and

WHA will be processing payments as usual (April 1st and April 15th).

HCV employees will be working on rotating shifts providing coverage 5-days a week.

A supervisor will be onsite during operating hours.
